Our Missions Pastor has been a part of Cottonwood for 27 years. It was here at Cottonwood God called him to full time missions ministry. In 2000 he and his wife were called to serve overseas with an unreached people group Cottonwood had adopted.
Now 25 years later, he continues serving with Cottonwood. With a focus on getting the gospel to those who’ve never heard Cottonwood’s Missions has continued to grow beyond what we could have imagined.
To God be the Glory!
“My desire for Cottonwood Missions is that we as the church in this hurting and lost world would be that city set on a hill that Jesus speaks of in Matthew 5:14.
I want to see us collectively pursue God to our closest neighbor to the ends of the earth. It’s vital that the church takes her role in reaching the lost and proclaiming our great God as we go.
I have a great hope that in that final day somehow we as a church will be able to kneel before Jesus and say we did all you invited us to do!”
“At the age of 28 God delivered me out of a lifelong battle with anger and addiction. Right away I knew I wanted to serve the Lord in any capacity He would have me.
My wife and I married in 1995 and continued a pursuit of what God might have for our future. Serving the church as we could, God set us on a path of seeking His glory above all else. With a great desire to serve and grow in this Christian life God led us to Cottonwood in 1998. It was there God began to unfold His purpose for us and especially me in the area of Missions.
As the church began to pursue Gods calling us to the Nations, I heard a clear calling to unreached peoples and getting the gospel to people who have never heard. To see God worshiped where He wasn’t and to lead the church to the places and peoples God has called us to.”
Jesus answered them, truly truly I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin.The slave does not remain in the house forever,So if the Son sets you free you will be free indeed!
John 8:34-36
“I enjoy hunting but only for food, hanging out with good friends and traveling as much as the Lord allows.
We are blessed with grandkids and great grandkids and I love all the time I can get with them.
I really enjoy people and am an avid extrovert.”
“I believe that moment God opened my eyes to the purpose He had for me it was as if a light came on in my soul. I know this is the journey God has me on and even when its difficult or hard I find my greatest joy in serving Him in this calling.
I believe I was made for this and to do anything else would be less than all God has for me. I desire to lead the church and our people to know God in new and fresh ways as we participate in the great commission. To Help our
people grow in Loving their neighbor and to serve the church as we Love God and make Him known to the utter most parts of the Earth.”
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.
