When you come to Cottonwood, we want it to feel like you are coming home. No matter where you are in life, we want you to experience the acceptance of a loving Father! That’s why when you visit Cottonwood, we want you to know that you are coming into a relaxed environment. No suits and ties here! Cottonwood is dairymen and doctors, plumbers and principals, housewives and home-schoolers, educators and electricians, all coming together to know and experience the living God!
GUEST PARKING
We have ample parking for everyone around the new worship center located at the back of the property. If it is cold or rainy, drop off your family under the covered portico at the main entrance before you park.
GREETERS
Our friendly greeters will be at the doors waiting to greet you! Please feel free to ask for assistance or directions.
NURSERY
Cottonwood’s nursery, or “the House,” is located at the heart of the Cottonwood campus adjacent to the worship center, and provides care for children birth through pre-K. Nursery is provided Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights. The nursery is staffed by well-qualfied paid and volunteer personnel with the thought of not only providing parents with a worry-free worship experience, but also providing children with an age-appropriate curriculum for learning about and knowing God.
CHILDREN
Children kindergarten through 6th grade meet for Sunday School and Wednesday night services (Awana) on “the Square,” a series of 3 secure buildings under a large rooftop to the right after you enter the property from Highway 6. All children must be signed in and out at the main entrance of the Square by the same attending adult. All children not in nursery attend the main worship service together with their families at 10:45 Sunday mornings.
YOUTH
Junior high and high school youth meet in the youth center/fellowship hall in the brick building adjacent to the old chapel for Sunday School and Wednesday night services.
COLLEGE & CAREER
College and college-aged young adults meet in the fellowship hall on Sunday for Sunday School, and various times and locations throughout the week.
ADULTS
Adults meet for Sunday School at 9:15a.m. at locations throughout the campus. Adults also meet on Wednesday nights from 7 to 8 p.m., and at various home groups, mens’ and ladies groups, and Bible studies throughout the week.
FAMILY WORSHIP SERVICES
Families are important to Cottonwood, and worshiping together as families and as a body on Sunday mornings is an important part of who we are. That’s why everyone kindergarten and up is invited to attend. Nursery is provided for children birth through pre-K, but if you prefer having your little ones with you, that’s okay too! In the event your child or infant becomes fussy or has nursing or other needs, a cry room is available on the west side of the main auditorium. There are also chairs available in the coffee shop of the foyer. Both locations have TV monitors so that parents can still enjoy the services while attending to their little ones. The service begins at 10:45 a.m. and usually dismisses by 12:15 p.m. Our worship services are relaxed and lean more towards the contemporary style of worship, though we still occasionally sing a traditional hymn or two. Our praise and worship is both energetic and celebratory; prayerful and reflective. Dress is casual. Pastor Mike Fritscher is our senior pastor. His messages are relevant and inspiring, and encourage us to move forward in our relationship with Christ.
Great job, Wayne!
