When God Visits, Trust and Obey! Matthew 1:18-25

1. A Righteous Man of Faith, Committed to Do Live Life Right!

Zacharias and Elizabeth: Luke 1:6 And they were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.

Noah: Genesis 6:9 These are the records of the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his time; Noah walked with God.

Job: Job 1:1 There was a man in the Land of uz whose name was Job and that man was blameless upright fearing God and turning away from evil.

Now, These folks weren’t righteous because They Lived Life Right They Lived Life Right because they were Righteous! Righteous By Faith!

Romans 1:17 For in the gospel, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, But the Righteous shall Live by Faith!

Lit: But he who is righteous by faith shall live!

Important Thought: Not Everything Is As It Appears,

2. A Courageous Man! Who Completely Obeys God!

Two Courageous Acts:

¬ Marry Mary (The child is by no man!)

¬ Name Him Jesus (Deliverer)!

Jesus – Savior! He Will Always Deliver You!

Romans 11:26 and thus all Israel will be saved; just as it is written,
“The Deliverer will come from Zion, He will remove ungodliness from Jacob.” 27 “And this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins.”

Psalm 34:17 – delivers you out of all your troubles.
Psalm 18:48 He delivers you from your enemies!
Psalm 34:19 He delivers us from all our afflictions!
Psalm 91:3 He Delivers you from the snare of the trapper
Psalm 97:10 He delivers you from the hand of the wicked
Proverbs 11:4 He Delivers you from death!
John 8:34-36 He delivers you from the power of sin! Matter of fact He has delivered you from the penalty of sin, He is delivering you from the presence of sin He will deliver you from the Presence of sin!
Romans 5:9 Much More then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him!
1 Peter 1:18 from your futile way of life by the Blood of the lamb
Colossians 1:13 For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved son, in who we have redemption the forgiveness of sins!

Jesus, Emmanuel! God with Us! Always Be With You

John 14:16 I will ask the Father and He will give you another Helper that He may be with you forever!

John 16:7 But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for If I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you!

Two Certainties with the name of Christ!

1. He will Always Be with You! Psalm 139:1-11
2. He will Always Deliver You!

Matthew 1:25 And Joseph awoke from his sleep and did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took Mary as His wife, 25 but kept her a virgin until she gave birth to a Son ; and he called His name Jesus!

When God Visits: Just Trust Him and Obey Him!

To Do What Righteous People by Faith Do! To do who you are in Christ!

Luke 2:1-20 – And Then He Arrives!

The Message To Shepherds! 10 “Do not be afraid; for behold I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people! 11 for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord!”

1. Jesus Your Savior! He’s Headed to the Cross! We Believe!

• Jesus, Your Savior Saves And Delivers You From Your Sin!

And He teaches us to pray in the great Lord’s Prayer: Deliver us from evil! Or more literally: Deliver us from the Evil One!

• Jesus, Your Savior, Delivers You Completely! 1 Cor. 6:9-11

2. Jesus Your Messiah! He’s Headed to Ministry! We Rejoice!

3. Jesus Your Lord! He’s Headed to the Throne! We Live For Him!

• It is Our Confession. To Him: You Are Lord! Of Him in every circumstance: He is Lord!

Romans 10:10 says to confess with your mouth Jesus, Lord and to believe in your heat that God raised Him fro the dead you will be saved: With the heart a person believes resulting in Righteousness, With the Mouth, he confesses, resulting in salvation!

Let me say this: Confession of His Lordship is Powerful: The Power of
