The Lawyer’s Response: 27 “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEAET, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; (Deuteronomy 6:4) AND YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF (Leviticus 19:18)

Jesus: “You have answered correctly; DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE!

But You Cannot Do This! James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all!

The Law Cannot Save: It reveals where You Are in Life. And without Christ it’s not Good! And It points you to Jesus!

What Does the Word Say About Salvation?

1. There is No Other Way to the Father, But through Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is not other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved!

2. We Are Saved by Grace Through Faith Alone: not By Works!

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 Not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

3. We Know God the Father and Jesus the Son! John 17:1-3

How We Know we Have Eternal Life? 1 John 2 and 3

1st 1 John is Written that We May Know We Have Eternal Life!

1 John 5:10-13 V. 13 These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal Life!

2nd We Know We Have Eternal Life:

Because We Keep His Word! 1 John 2:3-6

Because We Do Not Love the World and Sin! 15-17

Because We Are Persevering to the End! 18-19

Because We Know and Do Not Deny the Truth! 20-23

Titus 1:16 They profess to know God, but by their deeds they deny Him , being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed!

Matthew 15:8 This people honors me with their lips but their heart is far away from Me!

3rd We Know that We Have Eternal Life Because God is Our Father and We Are His Children!

God is Our Father!1 John 3:1-3

1 John 5:1 Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God and whoever loves the Father loves the child born of Him!
