The Lawyer’s Response: 27 “YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEAET, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; (Deuteronomy 6:4) AND YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF (Leviticus 19:18)

Jesus: “You have answered correctly; DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE!

But You Cannot Do This! James 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all!

What Does the Word Say About Salvation?

1. There is No Other Way to the Father, But through Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else; for there is not other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved!

2. We Are Saved by Grace Through Faith Alone: not By Works!

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift o God; 9 Not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

3. Eternal Life is Knowing God the Father and Jesus the Son!
John 17:1-3

How We Come to Know Him: Philippians 3:1-16

1st We Put No Confidence in the Flesh!
2nd We Consider All Things as Loss for the Sake of Christ
3rd And We Consider it all Dung compared to Knowing Jesus!

Because Knowing Him means knowing the Father! John 14:7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him.”

Because Knowing Him = Knowing the Power of the Resurrection!

(Whenever there is a death, there is a resurrection!) You die! You must die!

Because Knowing Him means knowing the Fellowship of His Sufferings!

Philippians 1:29 For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him , but also to suffer for His sake, 30 experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
Because Knowing Him means Being Conformed to His Death!
