1st We Overcome By the Spirit of God!
• We Are in A War!
John 10:10 The Thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they might have life, and have it abundantly!
Ephesians 6:12 Our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places!
• We Walk in the Flesh! (We Are Flesh and Blood)
• We Do not War According to the Flesh!
We Walk and War By the Spirit of God! Galatians 5:16-21
2nd We Overcome With Weapons Not of this World!
God’s Weapons are What God Says Are His Weapons!
Gideon: Judges 7:13-23 – Trumpets and Pitchers Filled With Fire! And the Shout: The Sword of the Lord and of Gideon!
Joshua and Jericho: Joshua 6:20 – Shouts and Trumpets!
David: 1 Samuel 17 –You Come with a Sword, Spear and Shield; But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts The God of the armies of Israel!
Ephesians 6:10-18 – Our Weapons, What We Live and War By!
• Truth: What God Says!
• Righteousness: How We Think and How We Live
• Peace: What We Have and Declare and How We Live!
• Faith: What We Believe!
• Our Salvation: How God Delivers and Saves
• The Word of God: What We Say and What We live By!
• Prayer
When You Walk by the Spirit look at what Comes Out! Fruit!
Galatians 5:22 But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 Gentleness, self control!
The Weapons of this World:
3rd We Take Every Thought Captive to the Obedience of Christ!
• The Battle is In the Mind!
Romans 12:1 Do not be conformed to this World, but be Transformed by the Renewing of Your Mind!
Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinks within himself, so he is.
• Obedience of Christ:
• To Do the Will of God!
• Hebrews 10:5 Therefore When He comes into the world, He says, Sacrifice and Offering You have not desired, but a body you have prepared for Me 6 IN whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have taken no pleasure. 7 Then I said, Behold I have come to do your will O God!
• To Do the Will of God Unto Death:
Philippians 2:8 Being Found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death even death on a cross.
• To Do the Will of God Through Love!
Matthew 22:37 And He said to him, “You shall Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, 38 This is the great and foremost commandment. 39 The Second is Like it You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.
