We Will Not Fear: Psalm 46

Fear is always based on the Assumption of Loss:
Worry is always based on the Assumption of Lack:

1. We Will Not Fear because who Our Great God Is!

God is our Refuge and Strength a very present help in Trouble: V 1

2. The Holy Spirit Makes Us Glad: He’s the God in Our Midst:

We are the City of God, the very Dwelling Places of Our God!
The Spirit of God Lives with in Us: From our innermost being will flow Rivers of living water:

John 7:37 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. 38 “He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.’” 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.

3. He is the God in Our Midst!

Psalm 16:11 He will Make known to me the path of Life. In His presence is Fullness of Joy, At His right hand are pleasures forever.

4. He Helps Us When Morning Dawns:

Psalm 46:5 God is in the midst of her. She will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.

Lamentations 3:22 The Lord’s Lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail 23 They are new every Morning, Great Is Your Faithfulness.

Mornings are always spoken as “wonderful” for the Beleiver:

Psalm 90:14 O Satisfy us in the Morning With Your Lovingkindness, that we may sing for Joy and be glad all our days.

Psalm 143:8 Let Me hear Your Lovingkindness in the Morning: For I trust in You: Teach me the way I should walk for to You I lift Up My Soul!

Psalm 5:3 In the Morning O Lord You will Hear My Voice; In the Morning I will Order My prayer to You and eagerly watch.

Psalm 30:5 Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the Morning!

5. Behold the Works of God in Your Life! What He has done what He promises!

He makes War to Cease
He Breaks the Bow and Cuts the Spear in two, He burns the chariots with fire.
He Disarms the Enemy: Colossians 2:13-15

6. Cease Striving: And Know that He is God and Watch Him Be Exalted!
