¬ You must master sin.
¬ When you carry the offense, You become hidden from the face of God.
¬ You become a spiritual vagrant and wanderer.
How Are We Free from the Root of Bitterness?
1. Know Who You Are. In Christ, You are Redeemed, Son or Daughter of God with the Nature of Christ In You
2. By the Power of God’s Grace Forgive Like Jesus Forgave You.

Confess the Offense & the subsequent Sin of Anger, Unforgiveness & Bitterness!
Repent and Believe the Gospel!
Thank God for the offense. (1 Thessalonians 5:18-19)
Ask, “Is there any benefit in walking in un-forgiveness toward this person?”
Compare what you owe God to what your offender owes you.
Pray a specific prayer of forgiveness and ask the Lord to remove all bitterness anger.
Prayer of Forgiveness: “Father, I confess that I have struggled with hurt and disappointment that has led to unforgiveness and bitterness. towards___(name)____________ This is sin. I ask You to forgive me for this bitterness, anger and wrath that I have walked in. I know that on my own, I could never forgive them. But I know that You can through me and I can through You. So right now, by an act of my will and according to Your Grace and the Holy Spirit, I choose to forgive___(name)____ for __________ . I release them of this debt and will no longer walk in agreement with bitterness, anger and unforgiveness. In the Name of Jesus I put on the Lord Jesus Christ and make no provision for the flesh. I choose to love! Thank You Lord for loving and forgiving me. And As You have forgiven, so I will forgive. Thank You for this power, thank You for this freedom. In the name of Jesus ,Amen!”
