God’s Great Name Communicates His Character, His Work and Who You Are In Him!

I. God’s Name Communicates His Character!

Exodus 3:13-15 – Yahweh, God’s Forever, Memorial Name!

“I Am Who I Am”! – Self existing One!

Psalm 135:13 Your name, O LORD is everlasting (endures forever) Your Memorial, O LORD throughout all generations!

II. From His Character Comes His Work: Shepherding!

Yahweh Rohi points to Jesus, The Good Shepherd!

John 10:11 I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and I know My own and My own know Me, even as the Father knows Me and I know the Father; and I lad down my life for the sheep.

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me; and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand.

Hebrews 13:20 Now the God of peace, who brought uup from the dead the great Shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the eternal covenant, even Jesus our lord,

1 Peter 2:25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.

Yahweh Rohi – I Am Shepherd! He Leads, guides, knows you, loves you, takes care of you, protects you, delivers you. He comforts, gives your rest and gives you His best. He is always with you, never leaves you. When you are lost He leaves the 99 and searches for you. He shows you the right way to go every time. He is with you in Hard ties even in the valley of shadow of death. He heals you, anoints you, follows you with goodness and loving-kindness. You have confidence that He will never leave you but you will dwell with him all the days of your life. When God is your Shepherd, your cup overflows.

The Work of the Shepherd in the Sheep’s Life!

1. The Work of Provision! “Everything You Need!”
2. The Work of Rest! “Green Pasture & Quiet Waters”
3. The Work of Soul Restoration!
4. The Work as Guide! “ He leads me in paths of righteousness”
5. He Is Present! Even in the Dark Valley
6. The Work of Correction! Hebrews 12:4-12

The Shepherd as Friend: Eating as His Table, Anointed as a Friend, Living in His house forever!

III. His Work Ultimately Defines the Believer in Christ!

“As Jesus Christ is in the World So Am I!”

Be More Passionate About Being a Vessel of Yahweh Shepherd than a Recipient of Yahweh Shepherd!

Yahweh, Yahweh We Love to Live Your Name!
