Facing Trials, Finding Wisdom! James 1:1-8

1st: When Various Trials Come, Not If They Come!

Trials: An Experiment, proving or Trial: Of One’s fidelity, integrity, virtue and constancy. An enticement to sin. Temptations, adversity, affliction, trouble: sent by God and serving to test or prove one’s character, faith and holiness.

2nd When Various Trials Come – Count it All Joy: Smile at the Future!

Count: to lead or Go Before, to rule, command or have authority over. To consider, deem, account, think.

Joy: Cheerfulness, calm delight, gladness happiness!

“Let Joy Be Your Leader Through the Trials of Life!”

3rd We Count it all Joy Because We Know That Trials Move us to the Places God wants Us to Be!

• Trials Move Us to A Life of Endurance unto Maturity, Completeness, Lacking in Nothing!

Endurance: In the NT the characteristic of a man who is not swerved from his deliberate purpose and his loyalty to faith by even the greatest trials and sufferings.

Perfect: Full Grown, Maturity, Full Age. Complete: Finished, without blemish or defect. Lacking Nothing: Having Everything You Need!

• Trials Move us to Christ-Likeness!

Romans 8:28-30

1 Peter 5:10 After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory I Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you!
• Trials Move Us to Continue to Trust and Believe the Salvation of Our Souls! 1 Peter 1:3-9

4th We Count it all Joy Because we Know this is exactly What Jesus did when He faced the Cross!

Hebrews 12:1

5th When Trials Come Ask God For Wisdom – He Will Surely Giveit!

James 3:13-18

Wisdom: the knowledge and practice of the things necessary for godly and upright living! Living Right!

Wisdom is From Above and Is Seen in Your Life! James 3:13-18

Wisdom is Jesus:
1 Corinthians 1:30 But by His doing you arein Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption!

Wisdom is Hearing and Doing the Word of God! Matthew 7:24-25

1 Corinthians 10:13 No Temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are ale, but with the temptation will provide a way of escape, so that you will be able to endure it.

• Every Trial and Temptation Is Common!
• Every Trial and Temptation Is Bearable!
• Every Trial Comes With And Escape For Endurance – Find It!

Peter’s Temptation and Fall:

1. Nothing Happens to You Without the Permission of God!

2. If You Are His Child You have Christ Praying for You!

3. If You Think You are Standing take Heed Lest You Fall!

1 Corinthians 10:12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

4. You Have What It Takes to Face the Trial!

5. If You Fail in Your Test, There is Always Hope! For Retuning to God and To Strengthen You’re the Body!
