He Declared a New Commandment! 34-35
34 A New Commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all men will know ha you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.
4. He Never Stopped Praying!
For His Followers! John 17
Asking that this Cup Would Be removed! Matthew 26:36-46
He Was Betrayed for 30 pieces of silver. He Was Denied by His most trusted followers. He Was Arrested and brought to illegal trial! He Was Mocked!
He took bread gave thanks and broke it and said, “This is My body, which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me”
1) He Bore Our Sins in His Body and took them Away!
1 Peter 2:24 and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
John 1:29 The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!
2) He Bore our Grief – He Carried Our Sorrows. Isaiah 53:4
In the same way he took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant of My blood; do this as often as you drink it in remembrance of Me.
1) Through His Blood We Were Purchased/Redeemed By God!
1 Peter 1:17-19
2) Through His Blood We Were Justified.
Romans 5:9 Having Now been justified and Reconciled by His blood and saved from God’s Wrath!
3) Through His Blood We have the Forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of His Grace. Ephesians 1:7
4) Through His Blood We Were Brought Near To Jesus! Ephesians 2:13
5) Through His Blood We Are Sanctified! Hebrews 13:12
6) Through His Blood We Overcome the Enemy! Revelations 12:11
What This Is? This is Proclaiming the Lord’s Death
When You Eat This bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s Death! You are saying the Body and Blood availed for me! That you have come to this altar and you have eaten and drank of these elements you are saying, I believe what Jesus did two thousand years ago when He bore my sin and grief and forgave me of my sin. And am now becoming Sanctified being made Holy by Him!
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live,bu Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me.
The Examination: 1 Corinthians 11:27-32
Ask Yourself These Question:
1. Do I love anyone or anything More than I love the Lord?
2. Am I Walking in Anger or Unforgiveness towards Anyone from the past or present? Am I a Bitter person?
3. Do I have the habit of grumbling, complaining, Criticizing or judging?
4. Do I have a problem with Coveting, Cheating, Lying?
5. Am I a Self Directed Person or am I a God Directed Person?
6. Do I have material or money lust?
7. Am I participating in any sexual sin?
8. Is there anything that God has asked me to do or give up that I have not done or given up?
9. Do I have a problem with Authority?
10. Do you struggle with fear, worry, anxiety?
11. Do I struggle with Approval of Man?
12. Am I Obssessed with my self, the way I look?
13. Do I compare myself with others in a very unhealthy way?
14. Am I mean, harsh, selfish, snappy? Do I have outbursts of anger?
15. Am I a giver? Or are you a Taker? Do you give generously? Do give tithes and oferrings?
16. Do I really show love?
17. Do I possess joy? Or do I grumble and complain with an embittered spirit?
18. Do I have peace? Or is there dissension, factions, fighting arguing and irreconcilable differences? Am I mostly a chaotic mess?
19. Am I patient? With your family? With your children? With your employer or employees? With your church leaders?
20. Am I kind in word and in deed? Or am I Unkind?
21. Do I practice the goodness of God? Or am I mean, grumpy and critical?
22. Am I faithful? Can I be depended on? Am I a person of my word? Am I a finisher? Do I work in My field as unto the Lord?
23. Are You gentle? Or are you harsh?
24. Do you practice self-control? With your tongue? With your appetites? With your actions?
