II. Sowing: When We Give Like God Gives! His First and Best!!
Jesus – John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.
Colossians 1:18-19 He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the first-born from the dead; so that He Himself might come to have first place in everything. 19 For it was the {Father’s} good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him,
Faith – 2 Peter 1:1-3
Eternal Life – New Life! 2 Corinthians 5:17
1 John 5:11-12 And the witness is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. 12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
His Holy Spirit and Everything the Holy Spirit Does!

The Holy Spirit and His presence in our lives. His Leadership, His Power, His Gifts, His Life. The Holy Spirit is the essence of Emmanuel! God with Us!

His Power to be His Witnesses! Acts 1:8
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.
His Gifts!

We Sow, When we give like God Gives!
• We Give Our First and Best!
1. We Are To Give of Our Lives! It proves Our Position.
1 John 3:16 We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.17 But whoever has the world’s goods, and beholds his brother in need and closes his heart against him, how does the love of God abide in him? Little children, let us not love with word or with tongue, but indeed and truth!
2. We Are To Give of Our Time and Gifts! It Proves Our Faithfulness
Service – To Our Children, To Our family, To our church, To the Community.
Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may present to Thee a heart of wisdom.
Ephesians 5:16 making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
Galatians 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
3. We Are To Give of Our Resources! It Proves God’s Faithfulness.
Malachi 3:8-12
Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, they will pour into your lap. For by your standard of measure it will be measured to you in return.”
How Do We Sow! 2 Corinthians 9:6-14
• Give Bountifully! (Life, Time, Gifts and Resources) 6
• Give With Purpose!
1) What You have purposed in your heart.
2) Out of Faith and Obedience!
3) To Meet the Need
4) To Demonstrate Love
5) To Glorify God!
Not Grudgingly – Not with greediness, covetousness.
Not under compulsion – forced giving!
• Give Cheerfully! With Hilarity!
• Give With Expectation of Return! Verse 10
1. Spiritually Rich 8-10
2. It Births Thanksgiving 11-13
3. It Spurs on Prayer! 14
4. It Advances the Kingdom of God. 13-14
