Gird Your Loins With Truth and Stand Firm Against Satan the Liar! Ephesians 6:10-15 and John 8:31-45

1. Gird Your Loins with Truth! Ephesians 6:10-14

1 Peter 1:13 says to gird up the loins of your mind! And what do we gather up to the loins of our mind? The Truth!

What Is the Truth?

• The Truth is Jesus! John 14:7 I am the way the truth & the life, no man comes to the Father but through me.

• The Truth is God’s Word! (Logos) John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth, Your Word is Truth!

The Word Equips You for Every Good Work!

2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is God breathed, and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, 17 so that the man of God may be adequate for every good work!

By The Word You Are Born Again. 1 Peter 1:21-23 You Are Sanctified. John 17:17 Ephesians 5:26 You Are Instructed. 2 Timothy 4:2 You Come to Possess Faith. Romans 10:17 You Are Set Free! John 8:31-34

The Word….Makes You Wise. Psalm 19:7-11 Rejoices Your Heart. Restores Your Soul, Enlightens Your Eyes! Leads You as a Perfect Guide! Psalm 119:105 and 2 Peter 1:16 There is Great Reward in Keeping the Truth!

• The Truth is Good Teaching or Doctrine!

1 Timothy 6:3 If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, He is conceited and understands nothing;

2. Stand Firm Against the Schemes of the Devil, the Father of All Lies!

Ephesians 6:11 Gird Your Loins With Truth so that we will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.

2 Corinthians 2:11 …So that no advantage would be taken of us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

John 8:31-45 Gird Your Loins With the Truth:

1. Abide in the Truth! I Will Abide in the Truth!

2. Know The Truth! I Will Learn the Truth!

• Knowing the Truth Will Set You Free from the Power of Sin!

• You Will Know Who You Are Who You Belong To!

John 8:44 “You are of {your} father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. Whenever he speaks the lie, he speaks from his own {nature;} for he is a liar, and the father of It.

• You Will Avoid Deception Falling into Sin and Sinful Habits!

Satan’s First Deceptive Words: Genesis 3:1-6, 13

1st There Are No Consequences to Sin: ‘You Surely Will Not Die!”

Ephesians 5:5 For this you know with certainty, that no immoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.

3. Keep the Truth!

John 8:51 Truly, Truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word he will never see death!

By Worshipping God alone and Doing His Word.

Romans 1:25 For they exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

James 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

Avoid Doctrines That Give the Approval to Remain in Your Sin.

2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but {wanting} to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; 4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.

Dispute the Lies of the Enemy by Speaking the Truth of God!

In Christ, I am Equipped to Win Every Battle Against Satan, the Deceiver! I am a Child of God, Not a Child Satan! Therefore I Follow Jesus, Not the Enemy!
I will Love the Truth, I will Learn the Truth! I will Remain in the Truth! I will Know the Truth! And the Truth will Keep me in Jesus and out of the Hands of Satan!
I am a Saint of God, Not a Sinner of Satan! I am Saved By Grace Unto Good Works.
Jesus Came into My Life to Change Me, Transform me, Take Away My sins, To Destroy the Works of the Devil and Crush His Head! I am Forgiven of all My Sins and am free from Guilt, Shame and regret of my past.
Jesus is restoring what the locusts have eaten, the enemy has stolen, and what the world has spoken over me.
Jesus is the Deliverer who has delivered me from the Penalty of Sin, He is delivering me from the power of Sin and will deliver me from the presence of Sin!
The Savior who has Saved me from Wrath, The Shepherd that Leads Me in paths of Righteousness! I am the light of the world, salt of the earth. My nature is divine. I will not submit to the lies of the enemy or the ways of the world. I have everything I need to live godly, to walk in love, to be at peace and make peace! In Christ I am Joyful, patient, faithful, gentle and good. I have self control to say no to the enemy and yes to our great God!
