The War Begins! Genesis 3:1-10
How Will You War? You Must Know and Believe!

I. Know and Believe God’s Purpose For Your Life!

Genesis 1:27 God Created You In His Image! In His Image, He created You!

• To Know God’s Purpose is to Discover Who God is and Who You Are!
• To Know God’s Purpose is to Discover What God Wants For You!
• To Know God’s Purpose is to Discover What God What God Says!

Genesis 2:16 The Lord god Commanded the man, saying, From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17 but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat for I the day that you eat from it you will surely die!

How Will You War? With Faith In These Convictions!

1. I was Created for God and His Purposes!
2. I was Created to Reflect God and His Glory (All that He Is)!
3. I Was Created To Walk with God!
4. I Was Created to Rule and Reign with God!
5. I Was Created With Great Purpose for Great Influence!

II. Know and Believe You have an Enemy Who Works Against God’s Purposes!!

• His Origin is Pride: Isaiah 14:11-14 and Ezekiel 28:11-19

We War By Remembering Our Enemy is Alive and At Work!
And You Must, Avoid Pride and Embrace Humility!

James 4:6 But He gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.
Romans 12:3 teaches us to not thing more highly of ourselves than we ought to think!
1 Cor 10:12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall!
Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction , and a haughty spirit before stumbling!

• His Strategy Is to Deceive and Lie! He is A Liar!

1st His Deception: To Question the Truth! “Indeed, Has God Said?”
2nd His Lie: God is a Liar, There are No Consequences to Sin and
And You are perfectly qualified to know what’s Right and Wrong,

John 8:44 He is a Liar and the Father of the Lie!
Romans 1:25 For they exchanged the truth of God for the lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever!

• His Victory, Your Defeat = When You Believe His Lie and Submit to His Temptation!

1 John 2:15 Do Not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life is not from the Father, but from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever!

We War By Disputing His Lies and Resisting Temptation!

III. Know And Believe Your Enemy Is Defeated By Our Lord Jesus!

2. Christ is My Victor!
3. I am Alive in Christ!
4. Jesus Comes to Crush the Enemy’s Head in My Life!
5. Jesus Comes to fulfill His Great Purposes in My life and in the life of His Church!
6. I Will Dispute His Lies
7. I Will Resist His Temptations!
8. Satan will soon be crushed under my feet!

• The Thief Who Steals, Kills and Destroys!

John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal, and kill, and destroy; I came that they might have life, and might have {it} abundantly.

• The Roaring Lion Who Comes To Devour You!

1 Peter 5:8 Be of sober {spirit,} be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

• The Tempter Who Comes To Entice You!

Matthew 4:3 And the tempter came and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”

• 4. The Deceiver Who Comes To Deceive You.

Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

• The Accuser Who Comes To Lay Down Guilt.

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.

• The Buffeter Who Comes To Beat You!

2 Corinthians 12:7 And because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me– to keep me from exalting myself!

• The Destroyer Who Comes To Destroy Your Life!

1 Corinthians 10:10 Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
