A.   An Unselfish Prayer.

James 4:4 You ask and do not receive because you want to spend it on your own pleasures!

B.   A Prayer Prayed According to God’s Will!

1 John 5:14-15

C.   A Prayer Prayed in Faith!

Matthew 21:22 and all things you ask in prayer, believing you will receive!

Romans 10:17 Faith Comes from hearing and hearing the word of God!

D.    A Prayer Prayed in the Name of Jesus!

John 14:13 Whatever you ask in my name that will I do that the Father may be glorified in the son!

E.    A Prayer, Answered Brings Glory to God!

II. Who Are the Righteous?

Those  Approved, Accepted by God and Pleasing to Him!

  • By Faith! Romans 1:16-17; 4:3-8
  • In Practice! 1 John 3:7-10

III. What Do Effective Prayers Accomplish?
A.    They Affirm Who God I, Who You are in Him and How You Will Live!
B.    They Demonstrate God’s Power! James 5:13-18

  • Relieves Suffering!
  • Enhances Joy!
  • Witnesses Healing!
  • Points to Forgiveness!

Prayer does something great in You and effects those we pray for!

C.    It Brings us to participate in God’s Will and Purposes!
